REFUND POLICY

Effective Date: 14 September 2026

This Refund Policy explains the circumstances and procedures under which payments made to Restu International College (β€œRIC”, β€œwe”, β€œus” or β€œour”) may be eligible for a refund.

This policy applies to payments made through the Restu International College website or other authorised payment channels, including payments processed through ToyyibPay.

Website: https://www.restucollege.edu.my

1. GENERAL REFUND PRINCIPLE

Refunds are not automatic and are subject to the applicable programme, course, registration, admission and payment terms of Restu International College.

A payment may only be refunded where the payment is eligible under this Refund Policy or where RIC determines that a refund is appropriate based on the circumstances.

Certain payments may be non-refundable.

Applicants and students are encouraged to review the applicable payment and programme terms before making a payment.

2. PAYMENTS THAT MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND

Subject to approval by RIC, a payment may be considered for a refund in circumstances including:

  • Duplicate payment;
  • Payment made in error;
  • Payment for a service or programme that has been cancelled by RIC;
  • Payment that RIC determines should be returned due to an administrative or processing error;
  • An approved withdrawal or cancellation where the applicable programme or admission terms allow a refund; or
  • Other circumstances specifically approved by RIC.

Eligibility for a refund does not guarantee that the full amount paid will be refunded.

3. NON-REFUNDABLE PAYMENTS

Unless otherwise stated in writing by RIC, certain fees or payments may be non-refundable.

These may include, where applicable:

  • Registration or application fees;
  • Administrative fees;
  • Processing fees;
  • Fees for services already provided;
  • Payments relating to completed or partially completed courses or services;
  • Charges imposed by third-party payment providers, where applicable;
  • Deposits or other fees expressly stated as non-refundable; and
  • Other payments identified as non-refundable at the time of payment.

Where specific programme or admission terms provide different refund conditions, those terms may apply.

4. REFUND REQUEST PROCEDURE

A refund request should be submitted to Restu International College using the official contact details below.

The request should include:

  • Full name;
  • Identification card or passport number, where required;
  • Student or applicant reference number, if applicable;
  • Contact number;
  • Email address;
  • Programme or course name;
  • Date of payment;
  • Amount paid;
  • ToyyibPay transaction/reference number, where applicable;
  • Reason for the refund request; and
  • Supporting documents, where required.

RIC may request additional information or documentation before assessing the refund request.

5. REFUND ASSESSMENT

All refund requests are subject to review and approval by the relevant RIC department or authorised representative.

RIC may consider:

  • The reason for the refund request;
  • The applicable programme or service terms;
  • The date and status of the payment;
  • Whether the service has already been provided;
  • Whether the payment is refundable under the applicable terms;
  • Any applicable administrative or processing charges; and
  • Any other relevant circumstances.

RIC reserves the right to approve, partially approve or reject a refund request where permitted under the applicable terms and law.

6. REFUND PROCESSING TIMELINE / ETA

For an approved refund, RIC aims to process the refund within 14 working days from the date the refund request has been fully approved and all required information has been received.

Estimated Refund Timeline (ETA): Up to 14 working days.

The actual time for the refunded amount to appear in the customer’s bank account may take longer depending on the relevant bank, payment provider or payment processing system.

Where the original payment was processed through ToyyibPay, the refund may also be subject to the processing procedures and timelines of the relevant payment service provider and financial institution.

The 14-working-day period refers to RIC’s internal refund processing target and does not necessarily represent the time required for the refunded amount to appear in the customer’s bank account.

7. REFUND METHOD

Where possible, approved refunds will be returned using the original payment method or through a payment method determined by RIC.

RIC may request verification of the recipient’s identity or payment information before processing a refund.

Refunds will generally not be made to an unrelated third party unless authorised and verified by RIC.

8. PAYMENT GATEWAY AND PROCESSING CHARGES

Payments made through the website may be processed through ToyyibPay.

Where applicable, payment gateway or transaction charges imposed by a third-party payment service provider may affect the amount refunded, subject to the applicable payment terms and circumstances of the refund.

Any applicable deduction will be communicated to the applicant or student where reasonably practicable.

9. DUPLICATE PAYMENTS

If you believe that you have made a duplicate payment, please contact RIC as soon as possible.

RIC will verify the relevant transaction records and, where the duplicate payment is confirmed and eligible for refund, process the refund in accordance with this policy.

Please provide the relevant payment or ToyyibPay transaction reference when submitting the request.

10. FAILED OR UNSUCCESSFUL TRANSACTIONS

If a payment appears to have failed but funds have been deducted from your bank account, please do not immediately make another payment.

You should first verify the transaction status and contact RIC with the relevant payment reference.

Where necessary, RIC may verify the transaction with ToyyibPay or the relevant financial institution.

If the payment is confirmed as unsuccessful but funds were deducted, any applicable reversal or refund will be handled according to the procedures of the relevant payment provider and financial institution.

11. REFUND NOTIFICATION

Once a refund has been approved and processed, RIC may notify the applicant or student using the contact information provided during the application, registration or payment process.

Applicants and students are responsible for ensuring that their contact and payment information is accurate and up to date.

12. CANCELLATION OF PROGRAMMES OR SERVICES BY RIC

If RIC cancels a programme, course or service for which a payment has already been made, RIC will determine the applicable refund arrangement based on the circumstances and relevant terms.

Where a refund is approved, the refund will be processed in accordance with the refund timeline stated in this policy unless otherwise communicated.

13. REFUND REQUESTS FOR WITHDRAWAL OR CANCELLATION

Where a student or applicant requests a refund due to withdrawal, cancellation or failure to proceed with a programme or course, the request will be assessed according to the applicable programme, admission and payment terms.

The submission of a refund request does not automatically constitute approval.

Applicants and students should contact RIC as soon as possible if they wish to withdraw or cancel a registration.

14. RIGHT TO REQUEST CLARIFICATION

If your refund request has been rejected or partially approved, you may contact RIC to request clarification regarding the decision.

Any further review will be subject to the applicable programme terms, this Refund Policy and relevant Malaysian law.

15. RELATIONSHIP WITH TERMS & CONDITIONS

This Refund Policy should be read together with the Restu International College Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

In the event of a conflict between this Refund Policy and specific written programme or admission terms provided by RIC, the applicable specific programme or admission terms may apply, subject to applicable law.
